Abstract

In this paper presents a new method to extend the linearity of the sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) to full range of the pulse dropping region presented. Adjustable speed drive is an equipment that adjusts speed by external controller. Here, by comparing sine wave and carrier wave SPWM is generated. SPWM inverter produced ac, drives the single-phase induction motor. The control signal is PI controlled and speed is adjusted by changing the load as per requirement. To remove the harmonics produced by SPWM inverter filter is designed.
