Materials Sciences related to the development of different specialty optical fibres with special references to optical amplifier , fiber lasers, FBG based components and devices, fibre optic based radiation sensor and advanced rare earth doped nano-crystalline host based optical fibers for high power fiber laser and up-conversion laser.
