Development of Internet is changing the educational methodology crucially adding the new opportunities unknown to old schools. Distance learning when the teacher staying in any geographical point may teach the unlimited number of students from different countries is one of such new educational technologies. E-lecturing, when students receive access to the lectures of the best lectures including ones working many years ago is the part of this technology. Potentially e-lecturing is able to modify crucially the known forms of education and to facilitate the educational process principally. However, there are some problems, which may reduce significantly the strong sides of new technology. The article discusses both the advantages and the disadvantages of e-lecturing. Three disadvantages of usual e-lectures include: the demand for students’ more self-discipline comparing with traditional learning; the absence of especial psychological atmosphere that stimulates educational activity of students in auditorium; and the absence of visual contact with lecturer and corresponding types of interpersonal and often paraverbal communications, which facilitate effectiveness of traditional lecturing in auditorium. Some ways of reducing these negative aspects of e-lecturing are proposed. The platform for constructing e-lectures with multi-language subtitles as well as with static illustrations and animated illustrations and containing the instruments for control of knowledge is described.
